AI Machines are a first look into how data is processed by the LIFT network. As the LIFT network roars to life and data begins to flow through it, those assisting in processing and distributing this data are rewarded.
AI Machines are programatic workers that specialise in a given area of the LIFT Network and when strategically configured, earn rewards for their operator.
AI Machines are core to the early stages of the LIFT Network, ensuring balance and availability in the protocol as well as rewarding users for strategic contributions. Each AI Machine specializes in a specific network function and is rewarded when that function is regularly required.
The LIFT Network encompasses many functions each of which are represented by an Entropics Card. These functions currently include:

Using an Entropics Card determines the area your AI Machine will specialise in for that epoch. Every 12 hours (1 epoch) the function that has been utilised the most by the network is recorded and those who have correctly activated the Entropics Card representing this function are rewarded with ETH.
To activate an AI Machine a deposit of 0.005 ETH is required, this ETH can be withdrawn at any time by burning your AI Machine.
Users operating an AI Machine will earn DataGold and receive Data Block and Epoch rewards consisting of Boosters, Entropics, additional DataGold points and Ethereum (ETH).
Boosters temporarily increase the rate at which an AI Machine operator earns DataGold points. Each Booster has a predefined duration and multiplier that when activated boost the amount of DataGold points earned by the given multiplier for the given duration. Boosters can be earned through Data Block rewards or by referring a friend to operate an AI Machine.
Entropics Cards are currently a set of eight distinct cards that define each of the areas an AI Machine can specialize in. AI Machines specialising in an in-demand area of the network are rewarded with ETH. Entropics Cards can be purchased using ETH, won in Data Block rewards or earned by referring a friend to operate an AI Machine.
Those operating AI Machines can elect to actively manage or automate their strategy. Active management consists of selecting the Entropics Card you wish to use each epoch. Automation consists of choosing between:
Higher APR, more specialized and inconsistent data utilization.
We will always use your highest value Entropic Card. These have the highest potential APR but these parts of the network are used inconsistently.
Lower APR, more frequent data utilization.
We will use your most common Entropic Card. These have a lower potential APR but cover high volume parts of the LIFT network.
Each function varies in complexity, network value and breadth of utility. The max APR boost captures these characteristics and allows operators to choose between high or low variance strategies. Each Entropics Card also displays the % of other operators currently using that strategy.
DataGold points are rewarded continuously to active AI Machines regardless of strategy, additional DataGold points can also be earned in Data Block rewards.
Epoch rewards occur every 12 hours are only reward those who have used the winning strategy for that epoch. Epoch rewards consist only of ETH.
Data Block rewards occur intermittently, whenever one or more of your active AI Machines resolves a critical network task. Data Block rewards consist of Entropics Cards, Boosters and DataGold points.
